Tim Carpenter in Singapore: Photo Album

Tim Carpenter, EngAGE Founder and Executive Director, was invited by the National Arts Council of Singapore to give the keynote address at the Arts in Eldercare Seminar 2016 being held on September 1st and 2nd in Singapore.

In addition to giving the keynote talk about bringing arts to senior communities, and the role of artists and their practice, Tim is discussing case studies of aging-in-place, facilitating a training session for artists, as well as meeting with leaders of various community arts organizations. This is an exceptional international opportunity to share the EngAGE approach to creative aging.

Here are a few photos of Tim’s trip. You can see more on our EngAGE Facebook Page where we’ll continue to update the photo album.

Tim: "Doing the keynote address and a panel with an amazing group of thought leaders to an oversold house at the Main Auditorium of the National Gallery, beautiful day."

Tim: "The artwork I was presented as a gift for my visit here from a local senior artist - a portrait of an iconic architectural site in Singapore - onstage at the National Gallery, at which point I broke down in tears, of course. Will treasure this."

Tim: "A highlight of my Singapore trip, got to meet and perform a song with Dick Yip & the Minstrels, a crazy elder ukelele and singing group - when Dick found out I was from California, he grabbed me and we did 'California Dreaming' together in the rotunda of the National Gallery."
