Free Museum Days in L.A. for September

ART-2

The hot weather of September will be upon us very soon. If you want to enjoy an inspiring, creative day out but avoid the heat, consider a visit to a (nicely air conditioned) local museum. “We Like L.A.” has compiled a list of free days at museums that usually charge admission. (You’ll still have to pay for parking.)

For September 2016, the most newsworthy tidbit of information is that both the La Brea Tar Pits & Museum and the Natural History Museum are free on every Tuesday of the month.

There are also over two dozen museums in and around Los Angeles that offer free admission all the time, like The Getty, California Science Center, The Hammer Museum, and more. Find a list of all of them here, then go out an enjoy!
