Metro Chinatown: Olympics, Jewelry Making, and Art Class

Sixteen residents of Metro Chinatown participated in the eagerly anticipated EngAGE Senior Olympics, some bringing home medals for their efforts.

Instructor Toni Byrd’s Jewelry Class offers students the opportunity to learn how to design and create jewelry for themselves and others. This month, residents crocheted a pair of earrings. There is great enthusiasm and interest in this hands-on art class.

Instructor Fabian Debora introduced art class participants to charcoal and sketching. Residents are so excited about the new art class that they have requested that Fabian teach more days.
