The reception for this free public art exhibit, presented by EngAGE and sponsored by SCAN HEALTH PLAN, was great fun for the artists and the visitors! The show celebrates the 40th anniversary of SCAN and the 5th anniversary of Long Beach Senior Arts Colony. It features paintings, sculptures, drawings, prints, and photography from professional artists Cynthia Evans, Moira Hahn, Gail Werner, Uran Snyder, Slater Barron, Carol Roemer, Annie Stromquist, and Sandy Abrams, in addition to creations by residents of Long Beach Senior Arts Colony. Several of the pieces reflect the artists’ personal narratives of aging and independence. The show runs from Nov. 17 – 30 (closed Thanksgiving).
