At Tavarua in Carlsbad, CA, Community Gardening promotes nutrition, community building, and overall well being. With high interest and demand, Program Assistant Tracy Freeburg has reached out to Armstrong Nurseries for gardening tips and education, including a guest speaker, at Tavarua. Residents are anxious to learn the ins and outs of their garden. A resource binder for gardening was created and placed in the shed for easy reference. The results? Beautiful!
