News from Sterling Court

From Sterling Court in Anaheim, CA:

Instructor Nicole Galardo: “In this month’s project we were painting a replica inspired by a famous artist in acrylic paints. The residents were able to choose from a few artists such as Vincent Van Gogh, Picasso, Pollack, and Hopper; most went with Van Gogh. We learned about scaling a picture down or up to fit our canvas. We also learned about the artist’s style and how they painted.”

Second Harvest OCEngAGE held a volunteer appreciation luncheon recognizing the Second Harvest Food Bank and EngAGE food program volunteers.  Site Leader Nicole Galardo:We had lasagna, salad, and breadsticks from Olive Garden. EngAGE Vice President Nancy Goodhart attended and gave her personal thanks to the volunteers. They were all really happy that we’d arranged a nice luncheon for them. Everyone received an appreciation certificate and a gift.  It was a nice time, and everyone felt very appreciated.
