Magnolia @ 9th: Winter Gardening

Magnolia @ 9th (San Bernardino) Gardening Instructor Doreen Lamothe comments: “Things are going well out at the garden, and everything is flourishing. Even during these winter months we are picking two baskets of winter vegetables including leeks, two kinds of kale, lettuce, chard, and for the first time, we are growing one whole bed of cilantro, mustard greens, and collard greens as per the request of the residents. Our tangerine tree is loaded with tangerines that should be ripe in the next few weeks, and we are also harvesting eggplant, as well as sugar snap peas. It’s hard to believe that the garden has been continuously producing now for over a year!” ~ And the results look beautiful!
