Burbank Senior Artists Colony: Presentations from City Reps

Semiannual law enforcement updates are an important way for residents to stay safe and aware. Office Turpin of the Burbank Police Department spoke with residents about the need for vigilant senior pedestrian safety practices. “Do not step out, push your walker out, or drive your motorized wheelchair out across the intersection without making clear eye contact with the drivers around you. Remember, you are the pedestrian and have the right of way no matter how long it takes for you to get across that street.”

Senior Services Presentation: Marva Murphy, member of the City of Burbank’s Senior Citizen Board, presented information to BSAC residents about what senior services are available and how to access them. “Please thank Marva for finding someone to help me shop since I cannot see,” said one attendee.
