WORTH-REPEATING

Jean Betancourt: “I’m a ‘mixologist’ in the world of art. I mix ‘whatever’ because I love junk, kitsch, beads, children’s craft materials – could be anything really. Here is my motto for you, it’s spelled N-N-O, for Not Neat and Organized. My work is completely spontaneous with errors. Let there be errors! For instance, the work I am doing now, with Plexiglass, there’s a lot of marring and some scratching and maybe a stain. I’m going to circle all the ‘errors’ with paint markers.”
