HELENE WEINBERG, Creative Programs Director at the Long Beach Senior Arts Colony, hosts this episode of Experience Talks Online with guests Gwendolyn Philips-Coates and Barbara Fay, two outstanding residents who have made significant contributions to that EngAGE flagship community.
GWENDOLYN PHILIPS-COATES has enjoyed a professional career as a singer and author, and she is working on her doctorate in Ministry. She is the director of the Colony Chorus which took the gold medal at the 2014 EngAGE Senior Olympics.
While raising her family in the 1960’s and 70’s, BARBARA FAY committed her energies to a variety of volunteer opportunities Those decades of experience helped her learn to resolve conflicts and develop professional skills which she is putting to good use now as a community organizer, resident editor of the newsletter, and director of the Reader’s Theatre troupe at LBSAC.
